About me

Hi! I’m Laurie. I’m in love with nature and natural healing which I started studying in my early 20s and continue even now over 35 years later. My first shift came after some sessions with a Medicine woman and I then went on to learn midwifery. I apprenticed for 2 years onto the intern level after an initial year of coursework. I really loved the herbs and raised my kids with them living in nature and really getting to know the plants. In 2006 I became a massage therapist from a 1,150 hour program at Colorado Institute of Massage Therapy. I went on to further levels of Reiki I’d started years before, learned cranial sacral therapy, trained in shamanic techniques in Salida, CO including plant spirit medicine, Studied meditation through 3 different gurus, became a yoga teacher, studied some sound therapy, studied more with herbs at American college of Health Care Sciences and went on to a 2 1/2 year program to become an Ayurvedic Practitioner with a NAMA approved School. I also learned Marma Therapy from Dr. Ladd in New Mexico along with several other workshops with him. I learned more Ayurvedic bodywork at Mount Madonna Institute in California. Since then I’ve been studying for the last year and 1/2 online with Puma Fedy Quispe Singona on ancient medicines of the Incan and preIncan medicine people. I’m also in another year long herbal certification program with David crow and KP Khalsa. KP was also the main instructor at my ayurveda college. So sometimes I think I have an addiction to courses, but I think Natural healing, energy and plant knowledge are really just my passion! I also love to teach and am almost complete creating my first online herb school course.

Outside of courses I love hiking and meeting the plants. Drumming, meditation, hot springs, time with family, and friends, and traveling.
